Digitimer

With over 40 years of extensive experience, Digitimer has designed and manufactured quality medical and laboratory scientific instruments, including biological amplifiers for extracellular, intracellular, EEG or EMG electrophysiological recording and electrical stimulators for in vitro, animal and human applications, including evoked potential, nerve excitability and intraoperative monitoring. These solutions have been integral for its application across various fields of study including its specialisation in life science research, human neurophysiology, paediatric surgery, urodynamics and manometry.

Life Science Research

The Neuro Log System

Compact and versatile; our modular electrophysiology workstation – the NeuroLog System – is now widely accepted throughout the world by leading scientists, researchers and practitioners alike.

As a fully modular device, it’s suitable for a diverse range of roles, including amplification, intracellular and extracellular recording, pulse and train generation, spike detection, electrical stimulation, multi-channel isolated EMG and EEG recording, pressure or other transducer recordings and more. And it can offer many advantages over other non-modular instruments.

Paediatric  Surgery

The Digitimer DS7AP is the only MDD CE certified and FDA-cleared electrical stimulator specifically designed and currently available for muscle location during surgical correction of ano-rectal malformation in infants. Using the pull-through or posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) technique pioneered by Prof Alberto Peña, paediatric surgeons employ the Ds7AP to identify underlying anal sphincter muscle tissue. The DS7AP is supplied with a 2m long electrode connection cables (D185-HB4-2m) for use with our disposable bipolar stimulation probes (DS7AP-DP) and a footswitch for convenient, hands-free control of stimulation.

The DS7AP Muscle Locating Stimulator

The Digitimer DS7AP Muscle Locating Stimulator has been designed to meet the specific requirements of paediatric surgeons who need a reliable and easy to use constant current muscle locating surgical stimulator when carrying out the Peña, “Pull-through” or PSARP (posterior sagittal anorectoplasty) reconstruction technique.

Accessories

The DS7AP Muscle Locating Simulator is supplied with the D185-FS1 foots-switch for hands-free control of stimulation delivery and the D185-HB4-2m 2m long output extension cable, to which is compatible with the DS7AP-DP Disposable Bipolar Probes.
