Brain Products Young Scientist Award 2026 | Trinh Nguyen

Celebrating Emerging Talent in EEG Research. Brain Products is proud to announce that the Young Scientist Award 2026 has been presented to Trinh Nguyen. Conferred annually in association with the German Society for Psychophysiology and its Application (DGPA) and the Psychologie und Gehirn (PuG) conference, this award recognizes outstanding publications by early-career researchers in the field of EEG-based psychophysiological research. The Winning Research: Infants and Music. Trinh Nguyen received this year’s honor for her exceptional publication, "Development of neural and spontaneous movement responses to music over the first year of life.". Her innovative research explores the developmental trajectory of how infants' brains and bodies respond to auditory stimuli. Notably, her findings demonstrate that an infant's brain can distinguish structured music from scrambled sounds from as early as three months of age, providing profound insights into early cognitive and sensorimotor development. Looking to the Future. We extend our warmest to Trinh Nguyen for her dedication and her significant contribution to developmental neuroscience. Supporting early-career scientists is at the heart of our mission, and we look forward to seeing how her continued research shapes the future of the EEG community.
