The BrainVision Recording Format (BVRF), introduced with Recorder 2, is a modern EEG data format designed to improve data organization, metadata handling, and interoperability. While maintaining the core binary signal structure, BVRF introduces JSON-based metadata, supports multi-participant recordings, and aligns with BIDS-compatible workflows. This enables more efficient data sharing, reproducibility, and integration with commonly used analysis environments.
