Noraxon Portable Lab Integration: The Ultimate Biomechanics Ecosystem

The true bottleneck in advanced biomechanics research has always been data synchronization. Noraxon’s myoRESEARCH 4 (MR4) eliminates this challenge by serving as the ultimate "all-in-one" command center. MR4 seamlessly integrates and synchronizes data from multiple hardware devices—EMG, IMUs, force plates, pressure mapping, and high-speed video—with millisecond precision, all in real time. A Modular, All-in-One Ecosystem: MR4 is built around highly specialized, fully integrated software modules that allow clinicians and researchers to capture exactly the data they need:. myoMUSCLE: The driving force behind Ultium EMG, providing real-time signal processing, frequency-fatigue analysis, and advanced wavelet toolboxes., myoMOTION: Delivers full-body 3D kinematics using advanced sensor fusion to track joint angles, rotational velocities, and acceleration., myoPRESSURE & myoFORCE: Integrates dynamic pressure mapping (insoles/treadmills) and 3D ground reaction forces (force plates) seamlessly with movement data., myoVIDEO: Provides automated, markerless 2D video tracking, allowing users to project 2D skeletal avatars and calculate joint angles directly over recorded video without traditional optical markers. Latest Innovations (2026 Platform Updates): The MR4 platform continually pushes the boundaries of movement science with new, cutting-edge integrations:. Intelligent Drift Stabilization: State-of-the-art algorithms automatically correct IMU drift in real time without needing reference poses, ensuring flawless, drift-free kinematic data., MANUS Glove Integration: Seamless synchronization with MANUS Metagloves for high-fidelity hand and finger kinematics, tracking 5 fingers and 15 joints per hand for fine motor research and occupational therapy., Single-Sensor Postural Sway: Perform rapid, highly accurate balance, neuromuscular, and fall-risk assessments using just one single IMU sensor., 4-Sensor Golf Swing Analysis: An automated module that instantly identifies key swing phases (address, backswing, impact, finish) to generate kinematic sequence insights with minimal setup. The Workflow Advantage: MR4 is designed to get users from setup to final reporting faster than ever. Featuring automated reporting tools, built-in biofeedback environments, and highly customizable databases, MR4 transforms complex raw biomechanical data into actionable clinical and performance insights instantly.
