Introducing HD-Targets Version 6.0. HD-Targets takes another major step forward with a feature-packed 6.0 release that expands capabilities across the entire neurotargeting workflow. As an extension of Soterix Medical's revolutionary software, HD-Targets-IFS automatically determines the optimal Interferential (IF) / Temporal Interference (TI) configuration for any targeted brain region. Version 6.0 introduces real-time IFS/TI targeting for the first time. Users can now load pre-calculated results or run real-time optimization for either Max-Focality or Max-Intensity directly within the application. IFS targeting now supports the same advanced configuration options available for HD-tES, including the number of current sources, field orientation, desired intensity, target size, and electrode exclusion. A Streamlined Three-Step Workflow. Targeting is performed in three highly flexible steps:. Model Selection: Choose from six built-in head models (expanded from two in previous versions) or import an individualized model using ROAST 4.0., Parameter Configuration: Select the modality (HD-tES or HD-IFS/TI), optimization goal (Max-Focality or Max-Intensity), and define precise parameters such as target size and Total Max Current., Visualization & Export: Visualize the optimized montage in high-fidelity 3D, save the specific targeting parameters as.hdt files for easy reuse, and export simulation results as NIfTI files. Enhanced Visualizations & Flexibility. The update brings robust support for both two-pair and two-array IFS/TI configurations, offering greater flexibility to optimize montages and improve intended target focality. Enhanced 3D visualization makes these configurations immediately interpretable: electrodes are color-coded according to injected current, and distinct shapes identify the specific electrodes assigned to each carrier frequency. Performance Upgrades. Interface and performance updates further streamline the user experience. Version 6.0 features faster loading of 3D tissue renderings, quicker transitions between workflow steps, and a more informative Status Bar.
